F.A.Q.

I bought my pass online, what do I need to bring with me to MagnaCon to get in?
MagnaCon guests who have purchased their passes online will need to bring a photo ID with them and check in at the registration desk each day they attend. You'll receive a wrist band upon check in.
I would like to purchase my pass at the door. What should I know?
If you are purchasing your pass at the door, be prepared to pay by cash or check. Please be aware that there is no ATM on site and exact change is appreciated when available. Returned checks are subject to a $50 fee.
Where should I park?
The Whittier Community Center is located in a residential area and has limited parking available in its parking lot. Please plan ahead for time to find a parking space for this reason. (We suggest 10-15 minutes extra. Trust us, it will be worth it!) We recommend you do not arrive just moments before your first scheduled game, or you will likely miss it. A parking map will be available on Sunday, January 10th.)
Is mass transit available?
Yes! The Whittier Community Center is located across the street from the 30th & Downing Light Rail station. You can easily take the Light Rail or bus to MagnaCon. Plus, you'll earn a free raffle ticket for doing so. Just bring your RTD ticket or pass in to the registration desk.
Will food be available at MagnaCon?
This is an important question, because while we'd all like to eat, sleep and breathe games, it's important to keep basic needs in mind while marathon gaming. The Whittier Community Center has a small kitchenette area that will be available to convention guests during their visit. If you would like to brown bag it, you will be welcome to the use of their microwave and prep area. We will have an assortment of beverages and snacks for sale as well, with all proceeds benefiting our charities. In addition, delivery menus will be available in the registration area for convention guests who would like to place orders for their meals. There is a Burger King within walking distance (about 5 blocks) from the Community Center as well.
Is MagnaCon a good place to bring kids?
In our first year, we do not have specific programming for children. We encourage families with young gamers to attend, if all members of the family intend to participate in gaming. As soon as the next convention is scheduled, we hope to add programming specifically for younger gamers, as well as other surprises. Gamers under age 15 must attend with an adult.
