MAGNACon 2010 Play Games and Do Good

Many of you have inquired and Dave Jones has just confirmed that Time Well Spent WILL be on site March 6th at MiniMagna Game Night with a small store. The hottest new games and some favorites will be on hand for your gaming addiction... errr... buying pleasure?

Our first MagnaCon convention was very successful, exceeding our modest goals. Going into the weekend, our goals were simply to execute the event and raise $500 for our charities*. With a lot of hard work from our volunteers and generosity from the gaming community, we pulled off far more than that.

Online pass sales in advance of the weekend totaled $690.00, plus 1 online donation of $50. (Note: Standard Paypal fees were deducted from this (-$0.74 per pass, etc.). Silent auction sales totaled $503. Raffle ticket sales totaled $465.

Members of the Rocky Mountain Axis and Allies Meetup will be running two games at MagnaCon, one at 6:30PM on Friday evening and one at 9:30AM on Saturday morning. New and experienced players alike are welcome to participate in this award winning, Hall of Fame game. If you haven't already purchased your Advanced Purchased Pass... do it now for only $15 and you can reserve your space in either or both games!

Gamers! Don't forget that MAGNACon will feature a significant section of the gaming floor dedicated to open gaming and staffed throughout the convention weekend by knowledgeable Game Master volunteers. We're also providing a wide variety of games for convention guests to choose from. You'll find everything from a 10 minute filler to kill some time between scheduled table games to meaty "gamers' games." MAGNACon guests are welcome to bring their own games as well, but let us lend a hand... be sure to check out the full library listings once posted in January.

MAGNACon volunteers will be running games and promoting the convention this Friday, November 27th at Wizard's Chest in Denver. The 24-Hour-Game-A-Thon starts when the store opens at 10AM on Friday and will continue overnight, concluding when the store closes Saturday evening at 5:30PM. This is a great opportunity for gamers to get some holiday shopping done, learn a new game at one of the demo tables and, of course, pick up a MAGNACon flyer!
